Government hospital

Absolutely disgusted with the lack of attention and treatment given to my 5 year old son who had burns to his foot from stepping in hot coals from a camp fire , was left for an hour in the shower with his nanna running water over it yet obs weren't taken for around 2 and a half hours because there is not even a doctor there and one nurse who seemed more intent on treating the easy patients because her shift was ending . How this place can call itself a hospital when in a peak holiday time in a town that bases its entire income on tourism is so well and truly understaffed is beyond me . Not good enough WA health service

Nursing staff are excellent - very attentive and caring.The doctor appears to suffer from a tragic case of short man syndrome - absolutely diabolical bedside manner.

I presented to the ED early hours of March 18 2022. I was looked after by very caring doctors. On March 19 I was flown down to Perth for further diagnosis and an MRI.I have been down in Perth ever since. I have a life threatening fungal infection.Without the prompt actions of the ED doctors I may not be alive today.With out their professionalism i wouldn't be here.From the bottom of my heart I thank you all very much and owe you so much.My deepest gratitude to you all.Michelle Linton.

Had 9.00am appointment at eye clinic. Got the drops and X-ray straight away. Then waited 2.5 hours so went to nurse who said I was next on the list. Everyone else was called so went back to same nurse a hour later who said I was next but doctors have now gone for lunch. I took a day off my work so after over 3.5 hours waiting I left to go home. Absolutely disgraceful and I won’t accept sub standard service so will go private. No apology was given at any time either.

Love Rockingham Hospital usually. Great staff,nurses but admitted to 4 bed ward recently and never slept for 4 nights because of noise from staff chatting around talking loudly coming in taking patients to X-ray at midnight without trying to be quiet. Had one patient order takeout at 10pm. Refuse to dim lights until 10.30 because they were doing paperwork outside the door. Had two nights with psych male patient in with 3 elderly ladies. Screaming abuse all day and night. We felt very threatened. One family made sure a relative was present all day to protect her from any threat from him. He racially abused every nurse that sat near him. Mobile phones were ringing from 5am to 11 pm in the room by some patients. I think this is becoming a big issue nowadays. I think phones should be on silent at least. I don’t think I will be able to go back to Rockingham Hospital again.

Be damned if I called and got through without waiting ten or so minutes only to be put through to an answering machine.

I was looked after amazingly by Dr Bird and Dr Casey and by all the nurses in the ED. Then two days in observation the nurses doctors and surgeons were so kind and caring. I was 10,000 miles from home in the UK and felt so safe in their hands. Broome is lucky to have such a dedicated and professional group of clinicians. Thanks to all of you for looking after me so well.

This place was horrible especially the customer service, the nurse who attended us was rude from the start, she cut me off mid sentence and didn’t even listen or bother to care about what I was saying and it was an emergency what I needed, she spoke to us rudely and said she said they didn’t have any of the basic medicine in the hospital when I know for a fact they do. If I could rate a 0/5 I would. I do not recommend anyone to go here.
